Design - Vacation Home Building

SSN Corporation completed the building design for a custom vacation home in Elk Park, North Carolina. Our scope included feasibility assessment for building on a hilly site, coordination with the local jurisdiction on constructability and utility extensions, preparation of construction-level design drawings, and collaboration with the health department and local contractors for well and septic permitting and installation.

Our team worked closely with the client and regulatory authorities to ensure all designs met applicable codes, environmental requirements, and site-specific constraints. The process involved detailed site analysis, iterative design development, and preparation of construction documents that balanced structural performance, functionality, and aesthetic goals. We also remained actively involved in coordinating well and septic approvals to streamline project readiness.

We delivered a fully approved engineering design package, securing all required permits and providing a clear, build-ready framework for construction. The custom vacation home project is now scheduled to begin construction in June, showcasing SSN’s engineering excellence and thoughtful integration with the surrounding natural landscape.
